TASTING NOTES

Limpid and brilliant color, on a background of black cherry, purple fringe. The first nose is patinated, ripe fruit, deep with a biscuit hint. The palate is dense, with notes of fennel at first and toasted. The definition of texture is precise, almost "surgical". It is a ballet of aromatic complexity, insolent of ripe fruit, jellied fruit, blueberry, blackcurrant and juicier in appearance such as notes of hawthorn and bramble. Stirring completes the bouquet of anise, curry and white pepper aromas. Nourishing aromas and refreshing on the palate.

PRESENTATION

2018 is at the level of 2015 and 2016 but make no mistake, we are on great vintages; we end up getting used to it, but it may just be an enchanting parenthesis and above all it is inversely proportional to the difficulties we encounter in the vineyard, caused by the increasingly significant climatic disturbance. Even if we can legitimately ask questions for the future, it is clear that for the moment the grapes we have picked up are very qualitative. True to its terroir, in this 2018 we will find the Haut Veyrac guideline, balance, freshness, fruitiness, precision of tannins. The phrase "Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove" is appropriate for this vintage.
